In the year 2005 Indian council for medical research has given guidelines where it has mentioned that the surrogate's name should not be appearing on the child's birth certificate. From this, it could be easily determined that in Indian society surrogacy is still considered as an immoral act. But the time has come when a developing country like India should face reality and accept the development of science.
